Resolute Loop Trail, also known as Aboriginal Heritage Walk, is one of the most popular walking tracks in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park,  located 25 km north of Sydney Central Business District. This 4.4 km, grade 4 circuit track passes through ancient Aboriginal rock arts and engravings, amazing views over West Head Lookout and two secluded beaches. We started the walk from Resolute Picnic area where there is plenty of parking, toilets, picnic tables and electric barbecues.  Start of the walk from Resolute Picnic Area After walking for about 50 meters, we took a left turn to follow Red Hands Track towards West Head Lookout.     Walking along the dirt road and some well-maintained stone steps for about 5 minutes took us to  Red Hands Cave. Red Hands Cave Track Red handprints in the cave, dated approximately 2000 years back, are made by ancient  Aboriginal  Garrigal people, the local clan which occupied  the area,  by blowing red ochre over their hands.
