Twin Falls Track - Morton National Park - NSW - Australia
We were holidaying in Bowral and decided to visit Morton National park for a couple of hours. Home to beautiful Fitzroy Falls and Belmore Falls, Morton National park offers many walks with spectacular views of rainforest, gorges and waterfalls.
We started off near the Fitzroy Falls Visitor Centre, passed Wildes Meadow Creek and headed towards Fitzroy Falls Lookout which is only a few hundred meters away.

There was quite a bit of mist on that day and while it does not provide the clearest views, I quite enjoy seeing the waterfalls through the mist. It has a beauty of its own and Fitzroy Falls looked mystical and majestic.

Fitzroy Falls is one of the best waterfalls in New South Wales with a dramatic drop of 81 meters to the valley below.
We did not have any plans on which track to take or how far to hike. We continued walking past the Fitzroy Falls Lookout and followed the West Rim Walking Track.

West Rim track follows the western edge of the escarpment and is a moderate and a pleasant walk through the eucalyptus and rainforest. Track was mostly flat except for a few steps.
Twin Falls Lookout is a mere 700m meters from the Fitzroy Falls Lookout. We could not see the falls as the view was mostly blanketed by the mist.
We decided to turn back as there were more activities planned for the rest of the day. The round trip was about 2 Kilometres. It was a much shorter hike than our usual adventures. But the surrounding was beautiful and views were magnificent. We just scratched the surface of the Morton National Park. We should definitely come back to do a longer hike.
